Homes, Communities, Futures: OKC's 2025 Consolidated Plan

Tuesday, January 21, 2025 | 6-8pm

Virtual workshop

Join Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma from 6-8pm on Tuesday, January 21 for a virtual workshop on OKC’s Consolidated Plan! There will be a brief presentation by Ben Davis, Principal Planner for the City's Housing and Community Development Division, followed a chance to provide input on community needs for the next five years for the Consolidated Plan; this includes grants for affordable housing and community needs, as well as some homeless resources.

The Consolidated Plan outlines the City’s housing and community development needs, which then inform priorities for four major HUD grant programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA).

Designing Safer Spaces: CPTED 101

Tuesday, Febuary 18, 2025 | 6-8pm

OKCPD Southwest Division (5501 S Portland Ave, OKC, OK 73112)

It might be winter now, but February is when many begin to think about yard work and landscaping projects they’d like to tackle in the spring. Curb appeal and aesthetics are typically top of mind when making these choices, but did you know that plants, lighting, and even fencing can impact the safety of your home and neighborhood?
Join NACOK and OKCPD on February 18 at 6pm for a workshop on four Crime Prevention Through Enivronmental Design principles! This free course will be taught by Sgt. Michael Miller and Sgt. Brad Gilmore at the OKCPD Southwest Division located at 5501 S Portland. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how thoughtful design choices can reduce crime and increase safety.
