Meet Hefner Division’s New PCR: MSgt. Robert W. Skalla
Police Community Relations Officer (PCR)- Hefner Division
Master Sergeant Robert Skalla has served 20 years with the Oklahoma City Police Department. His first assignment was in patrol at the Hefner division. As a Field Training Officer (FTO), he trained new recruits out of the Police Academy for 15 years. Sgt Skalla has been a Crisis Intervention Team officer (CIT) for the last 11 years, receiving special training concerning individuals in need of treatment for mental health crisis situations. He is bike certified, Lake certified and also a member of the Air National Guard. He is currently the 137th Air Refueling Wing Security Forces Commander at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base, Oklahoma City. He received his B.A in criminal justice in 1997 from the University of Central Oklahoma. With 28 years of military experience and several deployments overseas, he is motivated by service to the community and nation. His passion is to help build strong neighborhoods through team building efforts. He is at your service and looks forward to his new assignment.
